Recruitment Procedures for Teachers
We employ teachers who hold teaching qualifications recognized in the UK and have experience of teaching in the UK or in accredited British Schools overseas. All teachers must have a minimum of four years post-qualification teaching experience in order to be licensed with Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC).
In addition to the above, we also have the following requirements:
- Teachers of KG 1 must hold a degree in Early Childhood Studies.
- Teachers of KG 2 must hold an undergraduate degree (Bachelors) in education or an undergraduate degree (Bachelors) in English, Maths or Science and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (awarding Qualified Teacher Status).
- Teachers of Primary must hold either an undergraduate degree (Bachelors) in education or an undergraduate degree (Bachelors) in English, Maths or Science and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (awarding Qualified Teacher Status).
- Teachers of Secondary must hold an undergraduate degree (Bachelors) relevant to their teaching subject area and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (awarding Qualified Teacher Status).
